Day 15, Fontana Dam

Day 15, Thursday, April 9
After a good breakfast and lots of coffee, I took the guys back to the visitors center. They started off across the dam and into the Great Smokey Mountains.  In the picute, they are the two little specs in the middle. They had another gorgeous day and was even able to call me tonight. They made it 14 miles to Russell Field Shelter. When I talked to Bruce, they had eaten dinner and Bamboo had made it to the shelter too. Bruce hit his 100 mile mark, one mile into the 'long walk' today.

Today is not looking as promising as it is suppose to rain all night tonight and all day tomorrow.
Good Luck guys.
After spending some time with Seth and Bruce, I just want everyone to know how proud I am of them. This is a huge undertaking and I do admire them. Don't want to join them, put do think it is a cool thing they are doing. Bruce will hike it in sections but hopefully will eventually get it done.
Seth has great stamina and I hope he can make his goal to Harpers ferry. I know Bruce was really looking forward to spending this time with Seth and I know they will cherish this time for the rest of their lives. Love you guys
